1. Who we are

energycrisis.org.uk is run by Better Home Hub Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16605946), registered office Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE. Better Home Hub Ltd is the data controller for the details you send through this site.

We are an introduction service. We do not carry out any work, and we are not a charity, a government body or an official scheme.

2. What the enquiry form collects

  • The improvements you are interested in
  • The size of your home (bedrooms) and whether anyone in the home receives benefits
  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • The first line of your address and your postcode
  • Anything you type in the optional notes box
  • If you used the savings calculator or grants checker first: the answers you gave it (such as property type and age, insulation, glazing, heating, monthly energy spend, EPC band and whether you are on mains gas)
  • The page you sent the form from

Our hosting provider also processes technical data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Analytics cookies are only used if you accept them — see our cookie policy.

3. What happens to your enquiry

When you send the form, your details go straight to Better Home Hub. We use them to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to pass them to a specialist installer who may be able to help. That installer may contact you by phone, email or text, and may pay Better Home Hub a fee for the introduction. Once an installer receives your details, they are an independent business responsible for how they use them.

We use your details because you ask us to and tick the consent box on the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us. We do not sell your personal data.

4. How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept for 24 months after the enquiry is closed, then deleted or anonymised. Better Home Hub's full privacy policy explains the service providers it uses and your rights in more detail.

5. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
