About Energy Crisis UK
Who runs this site
energycrisis.org.uk is run by Better Home Hub Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16605946), with its registered office at Unit A, 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE.
Despite the .org.uk address, we are not a charity, a government body or an official grant scheme. We are an introduction service: we publish guides to cutting home energy bills, and when you ask for a quote we pass your enquiry to a specialist installer. We do not carry out any work ourselves.
Using the site and asking for a quote is free. Installers we introduce you to may pay Better Home Hub a fee, which is how the site is paid for.
What we publish
Our guides explain what each home improvement involves, what it typically costs and what it could save. Cost and savings figures come from the Energy Saving Trust unless we say otherwise, and we check grant information against GOV.UK, Ofgem and the Scottish and Welsh governments. Figures are typical, not quotes for your home.
Grant schemes change often. Before relying on anything here, check the official scheme page linked from our grants guide.
How It Works
Tell Us About Your Home
A short form: what you are interested in, the size of your home and how to reach you.
We Pass It On
Better Home Hub looks at your enquiry and, where it can, introduces you to a specialist installer.
You Decide
The installer can survey and quote. There is no obligation to go ahead.
Before you agree to any work, check the installer yourself — for example on the TrustMark register or, for heat pumps and solar panels, the MCS installer search.
